Great culture, chapter eight, community rebirth, BONIFACE MAIYANI

The elders from our community were wise and understanding. I do not say this to praise them but we always have to give credit to where it deserves.          A feast was held for the warrior who had peacocks lucky by having escaped the whiskers of death. The strongest and fattest bull were selected and made to undergo all the slaughtering process. Afterword’, roasting of meat would follow and after all this, fat had to be prepared for applying on their bare feet, which after crackling had produce, a natural hole and using geometry to do simulation, they had something like riftvalley under their feet.     Some cracks were so large that footprints that were left on the ground looked like the firestone marks. It looked like an escarpment since it was so carefully that one would say it was a person design.

The more the hours elapsed the nearer the time for the once prophesied leader neared. The old man, known as Loyielo conversed with the people after he gathered them one fine morning. He used all his servants and messengers to summon all people so that he could tell them what he intended.      Earlier on, as Loyielo had said that they were expecting a leader who was chosen by their creator be sent to them. He went ahead and said that the right time for the expected leader had come. He also cautioned that they were supposed to exactly do the way he told them.

The description of the man proved that he was an Afidus Achates, more over an Adonis. He would socialize well with the villagers after which they were supposed to know each other well. In fact, Loyielo pointed out that there would know any day that they would quarrel with the expected leader.

His identification, things that would make the villagers believe that he was the right one was that he would come with two cows and a bull.      He would be a Lilliputian with red Fleming hair and would be black handsome in colour. More of him was that he would be a helmsman with a perfect physique, hence would make the river from the waterfall navigable by using his powers and techniques. Our community now will brags of having the three forms of transport.

They are the so-called water, animal and road transport.       Water transport would be used whenever the two forms of transport were not applicable. For instance, when one wanted papyrus reeds he would use water transport to go and fetch them.

Through use of available resources such as logs of trees, he would show them how they would be crafted so that they would float on water.     Then, through use of oars, he would show them how to row along the river. The man was to have an abode in Loyielo’s house, since Loyielo was the only one who would have that given opportunity to speak to him during the first few years. Another task was that he was supposed to interrogate the man so that he would be known in details.

The man had to be respected by all the others members b all the others members of the society, whether old or young to alloy his mind to settle down and think effectively. When not respected, he would abandon them and are vanished and their opportunities to utilize the available resources turn into a nightmare.

After one fortnight, children playing in the field said that they had seen two cows and a bull in the bush. They said that the animals were all grazing together and it seemed they were caring since when they were resting under the shade of a tall tree. The bull would scratch with its tongue on the cows’ body, which would in turn do the same to the bull.

They looked extra ordinary since they were twice larger than the size of our ordinary cows and bull. In addition, all were polled and had their tails which whitish in colour. Their muzzle were red all had their wedged shaped appearance clearly planned that no one could miss this distinctive characteristics. This is a feature of high milk producing cattle; so were they also. Children also said that a man was looking after them. The man from far was half and a meter tall.

He stood still like pruned desert acacia tree. His eyes looked like the coals of fire.  Too could send a house ablaze. Other folks were heard said that he could possibly have come from another planet.

The other alternative was that some story tellers said that since he had eyes that looked like rubies floating on a radioactive fluid since none had such and also history has it that never has that been recorded.

His fingers looked like a bunch of bananas and had muscles that looked like the olormeuti hills. His hands hang sideways like the feathers of an injured bird. He used his left hand to hold his rungu and his right hand remained transfixed at his waist. Truly, he was an ambiodexter.
